All shipments to Turkey  must pass through physical Customs inspection, and depending on the contents and the value, may require Customs declaration. Clearance requirements vary for shipments to private individuals and to companies requirement, and of course for contents and their value. Duties and taxes are based on the Declared Value of the contents, the cost of sending the shipment (based on shipment weight), the cost of any insurrance on the shipment. Specific Rates for duties and taxes are further defined for the type of good, and VAT is assessed on the sum of above.

Although FedEx provide the maximum amount of clearance services allowed by law, Customs require that most clearance-related documents be provided or produced by the recipient. Click below for further information.
